Lending A Helping Hand

Hoping to find a donor match for Real Salt Lake midfielder Andy Williams' wife, Marcia, who was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia last year, LA Galaxy midfielder Chris Klein and Chivas USA defender Carey Talley rallied their teammates as well as the Galaxy, Chivas USA and The Home Depot Center staff to organize and participate in a Bone Marrow Donation Drive at The Home Depot Center on Tuesday.

The drive was a success as players, coaches, staff and fans from both teams as well as members of the US Women's National Team stopped by to get tested. After getting tested, Carey and Chris, former teammates of Andy in Salt Lake, talked about the importance of the drive and donating.

Daniel Renner, an awesome young man from Italy. Lends a helping hand at home with his grandparents. He carries his grandfather about the house as needed to assist his mother with Mr. Nealey's personal care. He also assists with his aling grandmother who just recently broke an arm and leg.

It is sad that his grandparents are unable to see Daniel trying out for the LA Galaxy, their dream for him and Daniel alike.

GO FOR IT Daniel, you can do it, Make them proud!!!!

Daniel is an Italian, American and British (his dather Don is an American and Mom is from Britian but she was raised in Italy along with Daniel's older brother Christian. Make all of us proud! Hang in there and stay positive.
