Galaxy defender Michael Gavin and forward Bryan Jordan made their U-23 debuts as the U.S. fell to the Ivory Coast 1-0, on a converted penalty kick this afternoon at the Toulon International Tournament in France.
Both Galaxy players started the game, but Jordan was subbed out in the 71st minute by head coach Peter Nowak. Although he played a full 90 during the first U.S. game, Julian Valentin was on the bench for the match but was not used.
