Ricketts In Camp

Galaxy offseason-acquisition Donovan Ricketts trained for the first time with the club this morning. The Jamaican goalkeeper arrived in L.A. last night and got up at 5 a.m. this morning for his physical.

We caught up with 6-foot-4 keeper after the training session.

Welcome to LA & the LA Galaxy, Dononvan. Hopefully, after several days in LA and several training sessions with the rest of the team, you'll be able to gel and find your starting groove and rhythm. Hope you work hard and impress.

"I've been following them, so I know the Galaxy is on of the best teams in the Major League..."

Yeah, about that...

Can we please get updates on how the pre-season training is coming along... Some videos and pics showing more squad members at training would be very much appreciated! Our LA Galaxy team has its first closed-session scrimmage coming in two (2) weeks against Houston Dynamo squad. It would be so helpful and re-assuring to us LA Galaxy fans to see some video and pcis to judge for ourselves if indeed progress is being made. Remember, we fans have a stake in our LA team.

I have just a little complaint about the blog, you do not post as much as you should be, you always say things like "more later" and then never post anything, you post things in Spanish without a summary in English, overall I just do not think you are doing a good job and I bet I am not the only one that thinks this. I mean the team is doing two a days, you can not tell me that you cant snap a couple of good pics and post them up every day, or do a fan interaction thing once a week or every other week; where we submit questions and then you ask the player our questions. I just think if we are suppose to be some super club then our blog should be the best one also. It almost feels like you are not fans and only post when you have too, as fans of the team we would love to see more on the new players coming in and so on. I would be posting new things every day after practices and so on if I was in charge but maybe that is because I am a fan.

Thanks,

Justin

Way to go, Justin. Exactly. I'm with Justin on the depth, frequency, and involvement in providing us fans with pics, videos, and regular, timely updates. To get an idea - please go over to the Seattle Sounders page and see how many training updates and videos they have posted for their fans. And, they're nice & lengthy too!
