The LA Galaxy have acquired midfielder Stefani Miglioranzi from the Columbus Crew in exchange for a conditional pick in the Fourth Round of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. The 31-year old Brazilian began his MLS career with the Galaxy in 2006, appearing in three games with the club before being traded to Columbus after the season.

Following an eight-year career in England with Portsmouth and Swindon Town, Miglioranzi first joined the Galaxy in September 2006. He appeared in three games for the club, all as a substitute, that season before being traded to Columbus in January 2007 in exchange for a Third Round pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft. A central midfielder who is also capable of playing in defense, he appeared in 37 games for the Crew in his two seasons in Columbus, scoring three goals and adding three assists. He played in 14 games in 2008, making seven starts, while helping lead the Crew to the 2008 MLS Cup, a game in which he was an unused substitute.

A native of Pocos de Caldas, Brazil, Miglioranzi moved to the United States at the age of 12 before attending Iona College, where he was the MAAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 1995. He transferred to St. John’s for the 1996 season and helped lead the Red Storm to the National Championship that year.

Again, thanks... thanks very much for keeping us informed and updated. Did not see this happening, either. Well, Stefani is very used to LA Galaxy and especially with Cobi. I have no doubt he will want to do all he can for this club and his team-mates. I just hope he is very serious and committed to how hard he has to work to get back into form and shape. Of course, that concern goes for a lot of players.

Question: Is there a reason why the Roster Page of the LA Galaxy @ MLSnet has not been updated yet??? Come on, it's the new year already - update the thing!

the website is updated by some external company and not MLS or the Galaxy itself according to the galaxy.com booth at the season ticket holder event.

yawn, nothin signing. just a cheap senior roster filler. This dude, like all the other Galaxy "Brazilians" before him don't look or play like any Brazlian footballers I've ever seen. GARBAGE.
