Becks and LD Earn Starts

David Beckham started and played 89 minutes with A.C. Milan in a 2-2 draw against AS Roma on Sunday. Meanwhile, teammate Landon Donovan made his debut with Bayern Munich in a friendly against Al Jazeera Sports Club on Saturday. Donovan helped Bayern to a 3-2 victory including an assist on Bastian Schweinsteiger's goal in the 31st minute. Both Beckham and Donovan are scheduled to re-join the Galaxy on March 8, in time for the club's MLS season opener on March 22 vs. D.C. United.

I hope both David & Landon are getting the training, fitness sessions, alertness, awareness, plus other personal chances that both of them are wanting and seeking. I hope that all goes very well for both of them. And, if - and, when they return to LA Galaxy - it should be absolutely & strictly mandated and held that once back in LA Galaxy... the energy, the focus, the work, and the pride will be for LA Galaxy - not anything else. Any player - I don't care who they are of our LA Galaxy - every single player that is contracted with this club and organziation have a clear & stated responsibility to performance, power, character, and results. That has to be the mandate and code from Bruce, Dave, Cobi, and the trainers!

Chill it's just a game! Fun!!!! Becks looked great today as always. Better because of the players he had around him. Hope LD stays in Germany.

If LA played like AC Milan and FC Bayern, then they would get that respect. As it is, Beckham is a pro and will play hard for whatever team he is with. I have seen that -- and I'm not even an LA or Beckham fan, but a soccer fan.
