An Argentine Arrives

As has been reported in the LA and Argentine media recently, the Galaxy have agreed to terms with Argentine defender Eduardo Dominguez. The 29-year old arrived in LA on Sunday and has been out at The Home Depot Center this week meeting his soon to be new teammates. He is still awaiting his P1 Visa and International Transfer Clearance but will be eligible to be added to the Galaxy roster once those are secured.

He spoke briefly to the media this afternoon and posed for a few pictures as you can see above.

The full press release is up at lagalaxy.com now, as is Greg Daurio's story about Eduardo's arrival.
For now, let us be one of the first to officially welcome Eduardo Dominguez to Los Angeles.

Senor Dominguez, Bienvenidos a Los Angeles, California y mucho gusto te esta aqui con LA Galaxy.

Awesome! Great! Yippeee!!! Finally, a central defender / full-back. Good news, indeed. I hope that Eduardo (so far) is finding everything okay and to his liking. I hope that our LA Galaxy management and coaches will help to make his time here with the LA Galaxy a positive, rewarding, and successful one. Having Eduardo in our tema finally... finally... at least gives something to be hopeful, cheerful, and rewarded about. Thanks LA Galaxy & AEG for working together - listening to the many thousands of fans about where we need help... such that this can happen.
Love this sport... Play HARD!!! Go GALAXY!!!

Any idea on how long it will take to get his Visa and for the transfer. This is great news!!! Just want to know a ballpark guess at when Galaxy fans can expect to see him hit the field. It would be good to get that sort of info from our LA Galaxy blog team.

Good, we can need all the help we can get in the defense.

What about the Honduran defender Chavez ?

Please waive, trade, retire
Xavier & Vanney...

Good to see we are addressing the back line, but how about our biggest problem... WE NEED A KEEPER. Cronin lets too many balls through, he can't catch a ball to save his life, and doesn't seem to know anything about keeper positioning. Let's go abroad and get us a good keeper.
