As most of you who live here in Southern California already know, we experienced an earthquake here today, with the epicenter located just outside of Chino Hills, the hometown of Mike Randolph.
Mike left the HDC shortly thereafter, but we were able to catch up with a few of the guys to see what they thought of the quake.
Edson - It was crazy, I was pretty nervous. When it happened the ground was shaking, my locker was shaking and I was shaking too. I'm okay now but I got a lot of text messages from people after it happened checking on me.
Cobi - Just another day in paradise.
Ruud - It was the first time I have experienced this and I had my kids with me so I was worried sick. I didn't know what it was. People had told me to stand in a doorway so I went to my office and hid there. I have to say, it was a really scary experience. I hope it is the last one.
We'll have more for you later on.

I am with you Cobi!
But they can be pretty scary for the earthquake newbies!
I always find it kinda funny seeing new people's reactions to Earthquakes. Californian's just shrug them off like no big deal, but to people who have never experienced them they always seem to freak out.
I hope Mike's family and everything else are fine after that earthquake. Im glad there was no major damage, but it was quite scary.
Looks like Ruud didn't do his due diligence on life in California :)
LOL, I want to know what Becks thought.
ha ha! i have experience some really bad earthquakes before and im not from cali, im from chile lol. you just cant get used to them.
i thought the earthquake was fun and i live close to chino hills most of my schools buildings are damaged tho..hope mikes family and property is fine i know a lot of people who got hit hard with it there
I just want to know... Is the LA Galaxy organization actually WORKING HARD TO DECIDEDLY & CONVINCINGLY IMPROVE THE DEPTH & QUALITY of our current team and its affairs? No, really, is the organization actually doing something? Is this organization content with being LOSERS? IS it okay with always failing to achieve their potential? Almost every other MLS club gets daily or twice daily updates on their organization - and, their respective GMs, COACHES, and PLAYERS are willing and ready to talk & share. Are the thousands and thousands of LA Galaxy fans not deserved of knowing what's going on? I am so irritated! I am so pissed off at the lack of drive, determination, depth, competition, and seriousness of many of the "border-line" players on this team. We are getting decidedly ripped apart to shreds by Eastern Conference MLS teams!
And, still all I see from the organization is SILENCE!!! Are any of you people even looking north to see ALL what a first-year expansion team like San Jose Earthquakes are doing to improve their team, their depth, their reputation???
NO news to us about where Carlos Ruiz might be going next? NO news about whether we are actually suceeding andvery much in contention with acquiring the much needed services of Nolberto Solano. NO news on who we are bringing in as an American International player since Los Angeles Galaxy is the team in place with the current allocation standing. NO news about how Celestine Babayaro's trial with Portsmouth FC is going. NO news with how Clint Mathis's trial with IK Start is going. NOTHING. JUST APATHETIC SILENCE!
It's a disgrace what we LA Galaxy fans have to endure and bear with such a passionate and rewarding sport like soccer!
This team needs SERIOUS DEPTH, QUALITY, MUCH, MUCH MORE DETERMINATION, DRIVE, and COMPETITION!!!
Hey Charles.-
1. I think you posted your comments on the wrong thread.
2. About Celestine Babayaro, I read somewhere that he caught malaria and he is out.
Who cares about these players that are not on our team!
my friend if you need news from MLS teams visit the Colorado web they have the best updates around the league and the world.
The guy that said Colorado has a great web site...
That's was a joke, right?
lol....Cobi's awesome! I'm from SoCal, but am up in No-Cal this week so I missed the earthquake, I was a bit bummed as I think earthquakes are fun!
