Sunday's News & Notes And Sat. Highlights

Galaxy played one of their best games of the season, but came away with only one point as a result of a 1-1 tie at Pizza Hut Park against FC Dallas. Unbeaten streak stretches to eight. Get all the news and notes here.

How was the mood in the locker room afterward?

Defender Gregg Berhalter told MLSnet.com after the match: "We should have won the game, but give credit to them because they fought hard and they stayed organized with 10 men. They battled and they did enough to get the point. I think they should be happy but we feel like we lost two points in this game."

For more post-game quotes read last night's post.

Also, earlier this morning, Landon Donovan was named to the U.S. Men's National Team roster for upcoming World Cup Qualifiers at Costa Rica (June 3) and against Honduras in Chicago (June 6). Landon will be eligible for selection for Saturday's match against Kansas City at The Home Depot Center.

Just for the loyal, dear, paying fans to mull over and chew on:
Sat, Jun 6th: LAG away @ Toronto FC
Sat, Jun 13th: LAG home vs Real Salt Lake
Sat, Jun 20th: LAG away @ San Jose Earthquakes
Sat, Jun 28th: LAG home vs Houston Dynamo.

Now, we've all witness how naievely difficult it was for our starters/our players to settle down, compose, create, and form meaningful attacks against 10-man team for over 65 minutes yesterday. Now, if Landon goes away on USMNT - becuase the USMNT has to play and cannot do without him - please consider where our meaningful attacks, creativity, and clever passing/crossing is going to come from??? Away @ TFC is going to be so, so hard and challenging... and, at home against Houston and Real SL are not going be swimmingly-smooth, either... so - where does that leave this team, its standing & its record - more ties??? Wake up, coaches - stop retreating into the silos of the locker-room, jumping into the cars, and driving away - leaving the mess for the rest to figure out. Actions and deeds must be taken... and, it has to be taken with proof of imminent attacking capability and power!!!

Give credit to Donovan for attacking the net on the goal but don't give him the goal. OG!

That was not an own goal. If you play it in slow motion, you can see the ball bounce up and Donovan hits it with the inside of his left foot as he's spinning around. Definite Donovan goal.

Klinsmen is available right? Do we really need to wait 6 weeks till the all-star break to fire Bruce? Do we fire Bruce? If we do, who replaces him?
