Gunner...
Just heard the word on Open Tryouts for the LA Galaxy. Going to be held at the HDC on March 6th & 7th. Here's the link to get registered:
https://securemls.mlsnet.com/t106/fans/tryouts/2010/register.jsp

As it has been for a couple of years, it is $150 per registration! (And, of course OLDER than 18 years of age).

Wish you and all others good luck!

Befamis,
Open Tryouts = the opportunity for the general public (not yet signed and not yet contracted male soccer athletes between the ages of 18 - 32 and having verifiable soccer training and playing experience) to come as registered participants to play several contestive matches (usually about 20-30 minutes each game) where LA Galaxy appointed staff/judges will watch, take notes, rate, and grade you. Realistically, the successful registered athlete would have to really impress for about three consecutive games to even make it into final game rounds. And, even after all that... one is still NOT guaranteed a contract with LA Galaxy and the MLS.
If not for anything else, it will be a very good opportunity for participants to find out how they rate against other soccer athletes. Usually about 180 - 280 male soccer athletes participate in this Open Tryout event.
