Catching Up With Yohance Marshall

We caught up with Yohance Marshall this afternoon after training to pick his brain about the first three weeks of preseason, his comfort level with the club this year compared to last and how much he is looking forward to Friday's scrimmage with UCLA.

A second year defender out of South Florida, Marshall appeared in one game for the Galaxy last season, playing the full 120 minutes in the Open Cup Play-In Game defeat to Colorado in early April.

Here is what he had to say...

Thanks for the audio from Yohance. I kept wondering when he would get his chance in reg MLS season play. Then again, when our steady back-liners Omar, AJ, Todd, Gregg, and at times Sean are there all ready and hungry to play from starting whistle... it can be difficult to find the chance. I hope we get to see more of Yohance playing and contributing. Also, very , very eager to see all three of newest Brazilian recruits play. And, of course, Michael Stephens... I think this youngster will do wonders if guided and harnessed correctly and in certain games. Then, there's Dema... I always look forward to seeing Dema put it all out there on the field... it may not be the prettiest or the most cleanest... but, man... he's a force to be reckoned with. Thanks so much for always being a competitive, hard-nosed player, Dema! With Jovan and Edson - well... all I can do is to wait and see - I really hope these two players will work very hard to step it up!
