My (Re)Generation

The whole team was back at The Home Depot Center today for a short training session ahead of tomorrow's day off.
The starters from Sunday stayed inside with Athletes Performance and Strength & Conditioning Coach Ben Yauss for a regeneration session while the rest of the squad hit the field for a light workout under the watchful eyes of Dave, Cobi, Trevor and Ian.
Included in the group that worked outside was Alan Gordon and Stefani Miglioranzi, each of who were removed from today's injury report, as well as Todd Dunivant who participated in one of his first sessions as he continues his long rehabilitation process from last year's ankle surgery. Additionally, Edson Buddle worked out with the training staff as he aims to be ready for the Galaxy's next game against Colorado on April 4.
With so many players working out in the gym, the numbers outside were a bit slim, meaning that Cobi donned the pinny and got stuck in today, even doing the fitness work at the end of the session.

Thanks for the training info/news & updates regarding which players are most ready to come back from inury list for next series of games in twelve (12) days. It wasn't mentioned here - but, I'm also hoping that Eddie Lewis and Donovan Ricketts are also recovering on target. I'm glad that the team players will get more opportunities on the practice field to improve their coordination, movements, passes, crosses, running on and running off. All the essentials have to be practiced and drilled in - so that everyone is fluid, comfortable, and don't have to think to make moves! It's spectacular that Cobi still wants to be actively involved in training sessions. I hope that Todd Dunnivant is recovering on target and recovering well - ankle recoveries are very tricky adn time-consuming. If I'm not mistaken Landon has to report to USMNT camp over in Florida, right?
Let's hope for a much more better and more successful, solid season - in terms of plays & results during MLS games!!!

Cobi Jones is an assistant coach we can really get excited about. We need all our players to exhuberate that same work ethic and love of the game that Cobi so diligently expressed every time he went on that pitch. He still has what it takes to be one of the best players in the MLS and as we have seen today the passion never dies for him. Lets just hope the other players take advantage of this incredible opportunity they have been given in being able to take the field with the best and the brightest of the soccer world. We miss you very Mr. Jones much but thanks for sticking with the team as you have since the begining. Keep on Keeping on Cobi!
