Autograph Session

One of the cool aspects of becoming a professional athlete has to be giving an autograph. Not everybody is asked for an autograph and the players, veterans and rookies alike, know that. As Yohance Marshall said, "This right here is going to make someone happy. That's special."

Last week, the players spent about 20 minutes after the training session autographing 2009 Galaxy memorabilia that will be used in promotions and giveaways during the season at various Galaxy events and home games. It was the team's first autographing session of the season, and Marshall's first of his career.

Here are some pictures we snapped of the guys during the autograph session.

Now, this is cool stuff for us fans. Just showcase the new kits if any and I'll get off your back for a while.

Wonderful! Great idea of having the LA Galaxy players put their autographs on shirts, jerseys, balls, etc. ahead of time. Now, how to improve one's chances of winning one of these items. Showing up at all of the games, I suppose.
Nice of the players to spend the time to do these for the fans. Thanks!
I hope Eddie, Edson, Stefani, and Donovan Ricketts are still healing and recovering on track. Be ready - Be mentally & physically ready for Sunday. Take all of the time adn preparations you guys need... just do NOT start timid, slow, and off-mark. The players need to work so much on their focus, attention, drive, and endurance. Stay alert and focused. I hope the training sessions are going well.

A jersey hand autographed by all the players... THAT would be a good season ticket holder gift.

That lunch rocked today!

Luncheon was great, thank you front office for including us fans. Lucky enough to get one of the team autographed balls.

I just hope and pray the team gets off the mark well this season. They are very nice bunch of guys who are trying very hard but do they have enough technical ability to pull them thru is the key question for me.

Hope the Galaxy bring it like Seattle did. They rocked the house and I can't wait to buy my Montero jersey. Why oh why didn't the Galaxy find this kid!!!! Can't we trade Becks for Montero???

Well, I hope that the LA Galaxy loyalists and STH's that got to go to the luncheon had a decent time and were very well-received. I'm just really, really hoping that our LA Galaxy can actually do what's necessary to turn our performances and results around. Sorry, Tim (AEG), but this cannot be done through wearing impressive/expensive suits, smiling a lot, doing photo-ops, printing & passing marketing materials, and having to endure a team/players make-up that's lop-sided in terms of talent, salaries, guts, determination, and effectiveness. It is going to take incredibly disciplined individuals who want to fight, who want to battle, and are passsionate and personal about winning for the team and its colors.
Seattle Sounders, yesterday, just impressed the heck out of me. They played with such control, discipline, and energy. Yes, having 22,000 or more season-ticket holders surely helps; but, Sigi has formed that team in such a smart & balanced way. Freddy Montero & Oswaldo Alonso were superb in that game, absolutely creating and delivering every chance they got. Brad Evans and Sebastian Le Toux covered so much ground in yesterday's game. I hope Bruce, Dave, Cobi, Ian, and the trainers saw and acknowledge how fantastic yesterday's game was... and, how much work, toughness, practices, coordination, and discipline needs to be drilled into our LA Galaxy team. Well, I guess we'll all find out on Sunday.

I love My GALAXY. I cant wait till Sunday. But I gotta say, after the luncheon yesterday, hearing the Bruce speak, the players answer questions, and then watching the Seattle-NY game, I'm concerned. No one except maybe Chris Klein and Alan Gordon, can speak with some authority. everyone else, (Landon, Eddie et al) verbally muddles their way through questions with "Uhms" and "Ahhs" seemingly unable to feel any excitement. I really hope that I am wrong and the boys were just tired yesterday. Please tell me they're really not that bored. They tend to sound the way they looked and played last season. Please, can't someone on the Galaxy at least pretend to be fired up, show some energy when talking about the season ahead. Please? I'll be there every game, I'll be cheering and yelling throughout, but please give me something to be excited about again.

I much ratther the players were more articulate with the ball than the mic. But I agree as far passion missing over all from the scene. It's a catch 22, they don't fuel the passion fire enough and the LA fans are too complacent and demanding at the same time. Bruce is not a rah rah guy either.

Fans should come, fill the sits, throw their Beckham shirts on to the pitch and get behind this decidedly American line up and spur them on to victory. We can do this if we stand up for them. This is not a time to abandon OUR team. Long live the gaLAxy.
