Wall of Legends - Doug, Cien and Cobi

The LA Galaxy have established the Wall of Legends, which will honor those individuals or groups who have significantly contributed to the growth and success of the club, On Sunday morning, the club will honor the first members in a ceremony at The Home Depot Center.

In a special selection process unique to the inaugural class, the first honorees to be chosen were former President and General Manager Doug Hamilton, as well as former midfielders Mauricio Cienfuegos and Cobi Jones.

Through the Wall of Legends, the LA Galaxy honor members of the organization who displayed the qualities the club embodies: passion, innovation, excellence, leadership and integrity. In recognition of all their contributions, the Galaxy will be unveiling a commemorative plaque in honor of each that will be hung on the Western Wall outside of Event Suite #6 on the Southwest Concourse. Be sure to check it out before the game.

What do you think of the first honorees? Who should be next?

I agree with the individuals chosen. However, I also think that Sigi Schmid's name and info needs to be mentioned on that wall. What would also be nice is to have framed team pictures of the 1996, 1997, 1998 teams and it's members on that wall or at least near it. It's good to offer some history to all of LA Galaxy's most recent fans!
