Alvaro is In

Early this morning we received the International Transfer Clearance for Alvaro Pires, meaning that he has officially been added to the roster and is eligible for selection on Saturday.

In order to complete the signing of a player from a foreign club, teams must have a P-1 visa approved and completed, as well as the ITC from said player's last club. That came in today meaning that the deal could be completed, meaning that Alvaro will join the rest of the team in flying to Denver today.

YEAAHHHH!!!! Alvaro is officially a LA Galaxy team member. Welcome on board. Glad to have you at the LA Galaxy. Keep practicing... Keep improving... Fitness - Fitness - Fitness! I'm so glad that Alvaro is able to play with the LA Galaxy right as the 2008 MLS season begins! Alvaro, do you know of any other young, eager, LA Galaxy team-ready Brazilian / Argentinian / Colombian / Ecuadorian player that would be interested in joining the LA Galaxy under Ruud, Cobi, Chris, Ian, and Armando? If you do... pass on the info to Director Paul Bravo. This way Director Bravo can start scouting and evaluating now.

Once again, Alvaro... We're excited that you're now officially with the LA Galaxy!
