Ready for D.C.

The temperature is finally dropping here at the HDC, but the humidity has picked up. Luckily, the humidity will help the players prepare for the conditions they will be playing in on Sunday at DC, where its supposed to hit the high 80s.

With Ruud meeting up with the team in DC, we took this opportunity to catch up with assistant coach Trevor James to talk about the upcoming match. We also spoke to Landon, Abel, Edson and Mike. Here's what they had to say -

Trevor on the D.C. offense

Landon on playing D.C. United at RFK

Abel on preparing for Sunday's game

Edson on playing with Landon and David

Mike on the home crowd at RFK

Don't forget to catch the game against D.C. on ABC at 9 a.m. - right before the Euro 2008 Final. And, if you still haven't gotten your soccer fix, head over to the HDC and watch the Rios take on Ventura County Fusion at 5 p.m.

Thanks for providing us these audio snippets. By the way - Trevor James' comments/audio got pasted TWICE. I don't believe you pasted Edson Buddle's comments.
I really enjoyed listening what Abel Xavier had to say regarding what to expect and what the goal is. A good, true, outstanding professional who has played many, many games in his career.
DC United wants to WIN as much as they can at home - their environment, their stadium, their fans - will push as much as they can on our LA Galaxy team. They are going to try their best to make our LA Galaxy feel like there are 13 men on the pitch instead of 11. Our LA Galaxy team must be very confident, sure, convinced, focused - with the sharp and steadfast goal of WINNING and coming away with three points. Be very mindful of the defensive actions and togetherness. Our LA Galaxy is going to have a heck of a time with FRED, LUCIANO, JAIME, OSCAR, SANTINO, and RYAN. These guys know their game - know their pitch and know their team-mates very well. These guys will try to make this game dangerous and offensive. Stay FOCUSED, STRONG - the LA Galaxy has to maintain CONTROL, FORCE, TEMPO, and POSITIONS. Our LA Galaxy has good, good players... play together with emphasis and communication!!! Love this sport. Go GALAXY!!!
