Finishing Strong

The Galaxy completed their final training session ahead of tomorrow's game against the Wizards this afternoon at The Home Depot Center.

Gregg Berhalter was back on the field running to keep up his fitness, but he is not expected to be available for selection because of a viral infection.

However, everyone else who is available was on the field, putting the finishing touches on the week's work. Per usual, it was a light session, primarily focused on set pieces (including one no longer top secret defensive setup that sees Dave Sarachan jump in next to Eddie Lewis in a two man wall), restarts and positioning at both ends of the field. After all of that was complete, some of the guys worked on a bit of crossing and finishing... (under the watchful eyes of Donovan and Cobi)... while the rest played 7v2, before finishing with a stretch and heading inside to go over video one last time ahead of the game.
We caught up with Bruce and a number of the guys to see what they had to say going into Saturday's game against Kansas City. Enjoy...

Appreciate the updates from training / practice sessions with pics & audio. Thanx! I really hope our LA Galaxy team is indeed truly amped and prepared to fully fight for the three points. 'Cause we cannot afford to lose or tie this game tommorow. Sorry, the other top teams are gaining ground and breathing on our necks with fire. So our team must perform well - especially, Landon, Edson, Tristan, and MikeM... they have to give it their utmost continuously in this game tomorrow. Yes, Omar, Leo, Sean, and AJ all have to do well also - but, a lot more must be done during the game by our attacking players. And, I hope these guys do have what it takes. KC Wizards have a lot of synchronized threatening options in their runners whether it be at wings or forwards. Our guys must be on top of their games and especially their minds to not slip up. That cannot translate into a 8 man defensive game - NO, but, to put the energy into moving the ball in order to keep posession aimed at opposition's net. NOT BACKPASSES!!! BACKPASSES WITH THE WHOLE INTENT OF MOVING LINE AND OUR PLAYERS FORWARD!!! Wish them lots of strength tomorrow!

The Galaxy need to play "hungry" & with much purpose in every game that they play!
