Thank you, Bruce for your candor, your honesty, and your true sentiments. Now, carry through on it - carry through on the hurt, the disgust, and the let-down. Make your players BURN... and, feel the sting in their skin every time they step out! That is what I don't get! I don't get that of this LA team - don't they have pride, honor, and craving for their choice of profession? Are they not knowing of what it trul;y means to be soccer players in the professional game? Every game has to be so practiced, prepared, and personal!!! Make it tough, and very challenging for opponents from the very start. We were playing on our "home" grounds at the HDC. We have to win games at home!
I mean these players can whine, and mope, and be stand-offish... but, that's not going to change or fix anything. They have to swallow their "cloud-nine" attitudes and play with guts, power, angst. Make the soccer at home on our terms. COntrol, position, thwart, and make it completely solid, accurate, and practiced. Unbelievable, what we fans have to put up with and watch... Tragic!!!

What a pile of rubbish has this team become. No quality anywhere. We remain the laughing stock of the league.

Hey guys, what happened to Edson, is he on injured reserve? And I already know the answer to this question but why wasnt this game televised? Could it be that the Galaxy are so lame that not even the spanish stations will carry their game?
In a way I'm glad they didnt televise it, wouldve just ruined my buzz

I want to try and put much of our disappointment and distaste in perspective. Now, please understand, that Saturday's performance was indeed atrocious by several players. There's no excuses for that. I constantly, over-and-over harp about practice, professionalism, drive, power, hunger, etc... I'm sure all of you get the picture.
I have to keep reminding myself constantly that good, effective, skillful players do not get magically put into a team at the start of the season. Typically (and, realistically) one has to give a team a good solid two seasons for good players to be realized by the club, the fans, and the players themselves. My issue is players once given a contract need to fully understand and be willing to constantly improve, learn, and make the entirety of the team better. To me, that's how Sigi got Columbus to where it was last year.
I know our current team has a lot of elder players - and, it's easy to say that elder players are not fast, are more prone to injuries, and will end-up making mental or desparate mistakes during play. However, I don't believe that to be the case of the elder players on our LA Galaxy team. I do believe that several elders are definitely slower and will never win a foot race against many younger forwards / attacking midfielders - but, this is where the right & careful blend of elders with younger players can make a difference and be effective. But, still the key point to realize is that all of the players have to... must improve their soccer-IQ, awareness, and coordination on the pitch. To me, the only effective way of doing that is actually giving opprtunities and chances to younger players in competitive, hi-pressure games.
I'm still pissed off about Saturday's performance, but - I have to force myself to be more respectful and patient of what it actually takes to make our current players get better, more coordinated, and more smarter.
I just really hope that Bruce and Dave realize that they cannot go easy on these players one-bit... they have to constantly push them, and make them work to acheive their utmost potential.
