Well, so much for makign it to the play-offs this year. A great many of us wished, winced, prayed, and hoped intensely that our LA Galaxy would be on it s climb. But, no such luck! The writing was on the wall since pre-season this year. This club with the experience and astuteness of BOTH Bruce & Dave failed... refused to get rid of slower, elder players when they desperately needed to. And, now they are paying for it big time. And, by slower, elder players - I am refering to Greg Vanney, Pete Vagenas, and "Grandpa" Alan Gordon. No matter how sppedy or how hard Bryan Jordan fought - LA Galaxy was not going to beat a team with the same record as us - but, has much more stronger & younger players!!! Let this be a burning, embarassing lesson to the LA Galaxy owners, the coaches, and its lazy, lazy staff! If one does not field 90+ minute match fit players... one will surely pay a price! Yes... Yes... I can see & hear the arguments and resentments from others already... "It's because David, Eddie, and Landon are just coming off of World Cup Qualifying duty..." Okay, so whose big-hair-brained idea was it to have them gone during important seond-half season matches. That's right - the suits & dollars at MLS!!!

Get a brain cell or two LA Galaxy owners and management... DROP Greg Vanney, Pete Vagenas, Alan Gordon, and Troy Roberts. DO IT!!! We need Two very good, fast strong Central Defenders and Two Young, Fast, Blazing Forwards that are not afraid to go forward at Defenders and Midfielders.
Here's some homework: Go to the roster pages of San Jose Earthquakes & Columbus Crew, and count the number of young developmental forwards. And, ask yourself - why would a team need 7 forwards in the second half of teh season? Oh yeah... play-offs run... Intense, physical, testy games where players are likely to get injured. I know Bruce and Dave knows this... but, they got caught up in trying to be nice & gentlemen-like in front of their team. A whole bunch of bolgna!!! Just take a look at Dominic Kinnear and Steve Nicol. They know "niceness" doesn't get you hardware - "foot-up-the-rears-of-players 24/7" get's the team to the play-offs!
We are now officially "bottom-dwellers" aka = LOSERS!!! of this league!!! Take it in eveyone - Take it in... We all need a hard razor's edge reality check!!!

And, yes - I saw... I saw... Beckham's touches were not very good in this match. I seriously think Beckham needs to stay in LA with this team, keep practicing with them. And, he needs to not play a whole 90 minutes for at least three games. He needs the time in the game but off the pitch to get a more landscape view of the many players as they're playing under pressure during actual games. This team doesn't truly accept and realize that other teams are a whole lot better and these guys need to... have to... bust their butts every minute of the game from 1st whistle to last whistle! Bruce and Dave will feel the heat & wrath soon enough!!!

Get ready, STHs... the Sales & Marketting batallions are readying htemselves to call all of you to sign up and depart with your monies for 2009. You all know what needs to be said... Until LAG owners and management firmly, affectively in PRINT on MLS & their webpages put down that they are dropping and terminating the slow-pokes and have signed fresh, hungry, fast talent, those folks are not entitled to our monies.

What a mess this team has become. Very very very disappointing. Bad players, terrible plays....argh! Just very bad soccer all around. Having another season like this has diminished the impact of Beckham in the MLS significantly. What a train wreck. Can some one please inspire this organization and players to get it together. Embarrassing.

Please Bruce & Dave... PLease understand that Greg Vanney, Pete Vagenas, Alan Gordon, and Troy Roberts are NOT (I strongly REPEAT - NOT) going to help make strong, convincing, deciding plays against the opponents we have to face in the rest of the season. Please... Just side-line them & get rid of them!!! DO IT!!!
David Beckham, Chris Klein, Joey Franchino, Alvaro Pires, Brandon McDonald, Josh Tudela, Mike Munoz, Eddie Lewis, and Mikey Randolph... These are our Midfielders. These guys are the ones that all of your education and efforts and demands be focused on!!! For defense, then: we're left with Sean Franklin, Ante Jazic, Scott Bolkan, Vardan Adzemian, Eduardo Dominguez, Julian Valentin, and hopefully Michael Gavin. These players are (unfortunately) all we have left on Defense. Come on LAG - on our team we have four coaches... Bruce should handle Defense into Midfield, Cobi should handle Midfield into Forward, and Dave should handle Forward into goal from all positions (left, right, and center)! Now, the issue is then - our forwards left will be Landon Donovan, Edson Buddle, Bryan Jordan, and Izzy Sesay. Again, this is why San Jose and Columbus have seven forwards on their roster in this time of the season!!! They are preparing for injuries. Now, I like our four talented forwards - but that means that several midfielders have to step up one after the other in attack!!!

We only have six (6) games left!!! And, three of them are away games! Can anyone say "Scr#w'd left-to-right, and front-and-back"?
Our team members still do not understand what 90+ minutes of coomplete, unforgiving focus, alertness, attention, and marking means yet... And, that's why we lost this game against KC in a matter of minutes!!! We did such a hard, smothering job at thwarting their chances... and, in a matter of minutes because of tiredness, lack of focus, dropping our guard,a dn especially our marking... the Wizards capitalized and made us pay!!!

charlesj27 says get rid of Alan Gordon... totally unnecessary. In 1022 minutes played Alan Gordon has 4 goals and 7 assists. In 1888 minutes Beckham has 5 goals and 8 assists.

Sure being tall makes Alan look clumsy with the ball, but he does a very good job of holding up the ball with his back to goal.

Nope charles27 is all wrong across the board. The Galaxy need to sell Beckham back to Europe, sell Landon to Europe and use the salary cap room to build an MLS team. Look at Houston, first place, and no players over $400K on the roster.

Yes, I agree the team played better when the internationals were absent. It is up to the coaching staff to integrate the team. There is no point in Beckham making great passes and the other players having no anticipation and movement. Donovan is so overrated and one dimensional. What did he do yesterday? Run to nowhere. But lets get real MLS cannot be taken seriously until it aligns with the rest of the world. We are STH in GA and take the kids for fun and bad food no to learn how to play good football. How could anybody play on that painted throwball field. Should not be allowed by MLS, disgusting. The players rely on pitch markings fro orientation. I was so dizzy and disorientated just watching on TV. Huge advantage for the home team and a disgrace to MLS football. Oh and when is the MLS going to realize it should be MLF. Does anybody know the origins of "soccer". If they did they would not use this belittling name.

Let me say this, I am a huge Galaxy fan from Montreal, Quebec. I have been to 15 galaxy games this year in LA and abroad. I travelled to KC this past weekend with my dad for the game. What I say made me sick to my stomach. Beckham, whose jersey I wear was horrible. He kept on turning the ball over in dangerous situations. I expect a lot more from him and now understand why he is no longer a starter for Capello. Donovan took a dumb yellow and Wicks has no excuse on the 2nd goal. See a shot...track it...jump..touch bar...if over, no corner...bad goal which killed his team. I have hope 6 games left....3 at home...I will be in Chicago (15 hour drive from Montreal) and Columbus (13 hours). They must get their timing down. I found that the D was actually good. Bad luck on goal 1...and goal 2 was on Wicks.
