Three Back From Portland

Bolkan (left) will wear #30, while Adzemian will sport #34.

Bruce Arena has recalled three players from their loan assignments with the Portland Timbers of the USL First Division for a week’s worth of training. Vardan Adzemian, Scott Bolkan and Bryan Jordan were on season-long loan agreements with the Timbers after signing with the Galaxy earlier this season. Jordan is the only one of the three to have played, for either the Galaxy or Timbers, appearing in one game for the Galaxy and nine games with Portland.

Their status for both Portland’s game on Thursday night against Miami and LA’s home game with Real Salt Lake on Saturday will be decided later in the week.

I want AEG and the coaches to publically announce their displeasure to what international call-ups is doing to this league and to every one of the club franchises!!! This is not Latin America and Europe. MLS teams does not have the same depth and number of skilled players like clubs in the other parts of the world do. So many of us clearly see what this is doing to the club we love! This is NOT RIGHT!!! I want the coaches & AEG to vocalize this out loud & publically. The fans are getting cheated out of their money. Tell us - Come on tell us... What is being done??? Enough is Enough!!! This club and AEG cannot keep taking our money adn have important players missing from the team!!! STOP this!!!

We need to get into the play-offs. This is what was told to ALL of the STHs in the Stadium Club by Alexi during pre-season! This mockery is NOT right!!! Hordes of ticket representatives eager to take our credit card numbers swarmed the e-mails and phone lines asking for our money. And, now 4 integral members of the team have conveniently joined their respective national teams. Why isn't AEG & the coaches making any harsh noises and publically criticizing MLS rules??? This is NOT the way to run a professional soccer team. We want accountability. We are demanding that more skill, depth, quality be placed into our team!!! NOW!!!!!!

If Scott Bolkan, Vardan Adzemian, and Bryan Jordan have all been recalled to stay with the LA Galaxy in trainings, practices, scrimmages, watching videos, gettin education, and being available for BOTH reserve and MLS matches... then, fine. Good. That is a much needed step in the right direction. But, let me emphasize... QUALITY, STRENGTH, COMPETITIVENESS, SOLID PLAY OFFENSIVELY & DEFENSIVELY, LASTING FULL 90 minutes in match fitness... these are the essential things that this team must, must have... we are playing seriously to make it into the play-offs. That means WINS. WINS - not ties and definitely not losses. Vardan & Scott will definitely help our back-line. Our defense is now fortified on right & in center. Since, Ante is gone for national team duty & Joey Franchino is still injured - who is manning our left defensive flank??? Eduardo and Mikey? Come on - don't fool with us... How effectively can Mikey & Eduardo cover the left flank the way Sean & Ante can??? I hope that Bruce and Dave is beating correctness of shape, form, and strength into them. Otherwise, we're constantly going to get caught flat-footed!
Bryan... welcome back, bro! It's always good to see ya and have ya back! So, our forwards are Edson, Bryan, and Izzy... Once again, I ask - seriously??????? We're going to beat Jamison, Ian, Chris W, Tony B, Robbie R with Edson, Bryan, and Izzy?????
