Four Called Up For WCQs

Four LA Galaxy players have been called up to international duty for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. The Galaxy will be without David Beckham, Landon Donovan, Ante Jazic and Eddie Lewis for Saturday night’s game against Real Salt Lake. All four players joined up with their national teams following the Galaxy’s 2-2 draw in New England on Saturday and are expected to be back with Los Angeles ahead of the Sept. 13 match in Kansas City. This is a disgrace. Commissioner Don Garber should be publicly flogged for his continued insistence that scheduling the MLS season around the International dates would cause problems. Guess what, soccer can be played in cold weather.

Right now the Galaxy's hopes of making the playoffs are dwindling due to a combination of poor play and International scheduling.

If something isn't done about the MLS schedule conflicting with International dates I will have to vote with the only power I have, my pocketbook. If the 2009 MLS season does not take the official FIFA International dates into account, the Galaxy can kiss this long time season ticket holder good bye.

Maybe if enough of us vote with our pocketbooks, Garber will have to stand up and take notice.

On a side note, congrats to the Galaxy players for the honor of representing their country.

What a F***ing joke our team has no chance of the playoffs

So, let me ask... are AEG, the coaches, and the team members happy to be in this position of not having the 4 solid, key, instrumental players at this critical moment in our season? Can any of those mentioned above give us fans who are being "peddled" week in and week out to keep purchasing LA Galaxy game tickets. So, we buy good seats at record league prices to come and see a team play without their star players... because... because we've got "sucker" written on our fore-heads??? I want this organization to be brutally honest, open, and most definitely accountable for what we fans have had to see, witness, and be a part of. I want to know how we are even hoping to win this coming Saturday. RSL will have Fabian Espindola, Javier Morales, Kyle Beckermann, Nick Rimando, Robbie Findley, Kenny Deuchar, Jamision Olave... (oh why even bother to continue listing... if there's even the average MLS follower - they can already see the depth and the talent that this RSL team have). This is NOT right to do this - to run this organization like this. I do not want this team to coninue SUCKING... to continue being repressed and cowering at the bottom of the conference table.

Can we please get some updates on how training sessions are goign for the rest of this week? Are there more players ready to come off of injury? Is Bruce and Dave seeing improvements being made at all player positions on this team? We're losing 4 players... 4 key, important players for this coming game on Saturday - can you please let us know what Bruce and Dave are planning to do about that?

I LOVE THE COMMITMENT TO LOSING

OK, that's it. This league is a joke, this team is a joke ... I give up - I have been taking this league more seriously than it's own players do ... Especially Beckham: he could have asked Capello to let him stay until after the RSL game and join England for the Croatia game - they can beat Andora without Beckham and blindfolded, while Galaxy needs him so badly right now. Good buy, Galaxy, good bye MLS ...

Becks could not say he just wants toplay in one game that is riduculous. As much as I wanted to see him play for he Galaxy on Saturday it is more important for him to play for our country. It is the MLS that need to change and start running the league the way he rest of the world does. Get rid of this college draft nonsense. Get rid of the stupid rules, have promotion and relegation, forget the salary cap. Let the teams compete like real football teams not like those plastic throwball rounders and netball teams.
