LA Galaxy Head Coach Ruud Gullit and team captain David Beckham did not have long to rest and change into their training gear following the Airport Arrival on Monday afternoon. Head Coach and Captain headed straight to the PPC press conference, which featured PPC participants Brian Ching (Houston Dynamo), David Beckham( LA Galaxy), Tony Popovic (Sydney FC) and Satoshi Yamaguchi (Gamba Osaka).
The players spoke to the press at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Monday afternoon. In addition, local goverment officials, the Lt. Governor James R. Aiona and Mayor of Honolulu Mufi Hannemann, participated in the opening press conference. 
Following the PPC Press Conference, the Galaxy went straight to work at the Waipio Soccer Complex ahead of the Pan-Pacific Championship and their first match on Wednesday, Feb. 20 against Nabisco Cup Champion Gamba Osaka.
