Galaxy Focus on Colorado and Seattle

The Galaxy were back at The Home Depot Center this morning, just two days after beating the Philadelphia Union, 3-1, on Saturday. With a quick turnaround in store for the club this week, the club will only train in LA Monday and Tuesday before departing for Coloardo to take on Rapids on Wednesday, May 5.

The big news from this morning's training session was the return of defender Sean Franklin to the training ground. Even though he was mostly limited to jogging, it was still a welcomed sight to see the 2008 MLS Rookie of the Year out on the field running again.

Eddie Lewis and Leonardo were also out at training working their way back to fitness from their injuries.

Only one starter, from Saturday's game, joined a small group that took part in a short-field 6-v-6 game. The rules of that game would change from one touch to two touches to unlimeted touches, depending on Associate Head Coach Dave Sarachan.

The rest of the starters worked mainly on regeneration by jogging around the outer areas of the training ground.

Here are some photo's from today's session. Enjoy...

Thanks for the updates + the PICS! I'm so glad that our players (especially Landon, Edson, Omar, AJ - well, every player fielded for the most part)... came together, played with energy, with urgency, with determination, and focus to get these fantastic results... I'm hoping the results that they've achieved will only promote and bring out more of the same urgency, professionalism, power, and attentiveness. These next two games are going to be taxing on the players - but, the anticipated outcome from these games should be the same - play together, play for each other and with each other - more over communicate, position, switch back and forth, and work immensely hard (but efficiently) to keep posession in important areas of the field. Wish all of our guys luck and strength!

So I'm guessing Mike Magee's hip loosened up then?
