Working it out

Despite no games this weekend, the Galaxy were back out on the training field at The Home Depot Center on Wednesday. Most of the media in attendance focused Sean Franklin and Edson Buddle, who continue to work their way back to match fitness after being out for 13 weeks and seven weeks, respectively.

After working on tactical and defensive drills, the coaches finished the day with a couple of fitness drills. Some of the pairings were interesting, to say the least: A.J. DeLaGarza (5-foot-9, 145 pounds) with Omar González (6-foot-5, 210 pounds), Chris Klein (midfielder) with Tony Sanneh (defender) and Cobi Jones (Age 39) with Dave Sarachan (54). In one of the last races, Sarachan, to everyone's amazement and amusement, got an early jump on Jones and almost pulled off the upset.

Here are a few pictures from today's training session...

Special thanks to Walter Martinez of Telemundo 52 for sharing some of his photos from today's training session. To view more of his photos, visit their site.

Brian Jordan has been hitting the gym from what I see. The kid needs more playing time.

Is there a timeline on when we can expect guys like Franklin, Buddle and Eskandarian back on the field or the starting 11?

I'm not as concerned about Franklin since from what I heard in the interview on Fox Prime Ticket he actually has been running for a while now he just needs to get into match fitness and get his touch back.

But the 2 I'm eager to know when they'll come back is the two forwards who IMO will take pases from Landon and David to get their assists count to the top of the league!
