Day Two With Bruce

After day two of training under new Head Coach Bruce Arena, some of the guys shared their thoughts on the new man in charge and all the excitement that has been taking place at the HDC these past few days. Here is what they had to say...

Thanks for the audio from a few of the players. I'm guessing that most of our players feel quite positive about having Bruce both as a Head Coach and as a GM. That's a relief to hear. Can you offer some audio from Dave Sarachan, as well... I would really like to know what he thinks of our team and what he believes his strengths to offer to the guys. The one really big positive I heard from this series of audio is that Bruce does NOT let mistakes slide! Very important! And, he actaully is willing to work with team members one-on-one to correct them and educate them on what needs to happen. It seems that Bruce also very much values unity, formation, and defenisve manuevers. Also very good to hear. I'm not sure how much scoring LA Galaxy will get to do on Thursday against Chicago... but, I am very curious to see how much effect Bruce's coaching will ahve on our defensive stances and manuevers. I hope that the team will put all of their effort, concentration, and focus into winning - getting the three points as best as they can!

Very telling comments from the players regarding the difference between a Bruce-run practice and a Ruud-run practice. And the more I hear, the more amazed I am that the team was able to play as well as it did with Ruud. How can a coach not address mistakes? How can a coach not work on weaknesses? How can a coach just let it slide? No wonder Ruud was booted out. He clearly didn't care.

Nicole,

You are absolutely right. I think Ruud focused more on the offensive end.

No comments about Ruiz being traded?
