Audio Dump

There was a good cross section of media out for today's training session and press conference. As a result we've got plenty of audio for you.

Here is what Cobi had to say as he addressed the media for the first time as the Galaxy's interim head coach during the Honda SuperClasico press conference.

Cobi...

And here is some video from that same press conference.

We also caught up with a few players after training to see their thoughts on what the team needs to do now ahead of the Chivas USA game.

Excellent, excellent audio from the veterans. Thansk for sharing this with all of us. Very valuable to hear and to digest! I hate the fact that all of this upheaval and turnoil is happening at the 2/3rd's point of the 2008 season - it's very, very distracting to the young players! But, it is a true GUT-CHECK... for many of these players... they are getting to see first-hand what the serious consequences are from poor, consecutive results, inconsistent playing, lack of passion, vigor, strength, and "what it means" to play at the professional level. NO MORE SECURITY BLANKET!!! But, this was a change that had to happen - it needed to happen! ALL... ALL of the team members must put out excellent, hard-working, gut-wrenching performances... if not, it'll be the last game they've played. End-of-Story.
I really, really enjoyed and appreciated what Pete Vagenas had to say and share. I have been one of the harsher critics of Pete Vagenas', Alan Gordon's, Greg Vanney's, and Troy Robert's playing. I've been harsh - because, from what they've put out on the field during game time - was so, so sub-standard to where the level of play in MLS is at now. And, if they were responsible, dutiful, mindful, diligent professionals... they would work extra, extra hard to have changed their mood, their behavior, their intensity, and their results!!!
It will take a LOT, LOT more than crying, weeping, pity, wishful-thinking, and dreams to change the team going forward. EVERY PLAYER must truly, truly want to excel and be their utmost best (together, solidly, convincingly) for the rest of all 11 games!
AEG and the investors are going to make changes as they see fit - it is in their right. It completely falls on the heads, shoulders, hands, feet, mouths, and attitude of all of the players to convince us(the fans), the sports reporters and analysts, the management, the rest of the league that they're worth keeping.
I am so, so worried about us conceding goals; I don't why our players don't work consistently, decidedly, effectively to fix that!!!

I wish Pete Vagenas was as articulate and analytical on the field as he was in that interview...

Guys, I am sorry to put pressure and sounding so "pushy" right now. But, please... can there be some sense of ownership, diligence, and correctness in what's displaying on our LA Galaxy web-page. What I'm refering to is mainly the roster page. Come on, can someone please update the info. Chris Neville has already gone back to England. John Ireland is now the team's fitness coach. Bryan Jordan has already been loaned back to Portland for the rest of the season - so why still the slot #27? I swear - what are we doing to address Central Defense? What? Please, can we get some decision and finality on whether Vardan & Scott are going to be with our team and contributing? Is it not obvious we need to have very good central defenders? Please, LA Galaxy - stop making assumptions, suppositions, and wishful-thinking! Clarify and solidify our roster NOW!!! Do it! We are already 2/3rds into this season!
