In this week's episode, we take you to the red carpet of the ESPY's, held at Nokia Live in Downtown L.A. last week, to hear what other athletes and analysts-- Darrell Revis, Marcellus Wiley, Jalen Rose, Lori "Lolo" Jones, Kenny Mayne and others-- had to say about Landon. We also caught up with the man himself and take a look back at last Thursday's dramatic comeback against San Jose.

Finally an update!
Thanks for the video. Nice! Wow, LD got a lot of praise... but, I kinda' wished that some praise and note went to some of the other integral players on the USMNT while in S.A. (namely, Tim Howard, Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, Maurice Edu, and Benny Feilhaber). Those guys busted their collective behinds, too! Then, again, it is the ESPYs.
I was warmed, dare-say moved, when I read this at LA Galaxy.com regarding how this team and the coaches are viewing and hoping to play the CCL:
" How serious is Galaxy coach Bruce Arena about Tuesday’s match? He did not start either Chris Birchall or Gregg Berhalter against San Jose on Thursday, and cited the Champions League matches as part of the reason why the two stalwarts did not play in the 2-2 draw against the Quakes. The chance to participate in the CCL is a unique chance for MLS clubs, and Arena is not going to squander it.
“It’s an outstanding opportunity for our club to see if we can achieve at the international level,” Arena said. “The Galaxy has been out of these types of competitions for a number of years. It’s important that we take this competition on a positive note and really try and do well.” "
I hope that those sentiments and thoughts are actually true... and, not just more P.R. oozing out on web to coax followers and lather 'em up.
It would go a LONG WAY for this club, its members, its fans, and more-over the rep across this league by other coaches and teams to see our LA Galaxy go far in CCL competition.
I have not heard any status updates on Clint or Mike Magee through 'official' LA Galaxy or MLS Soccer channels. Are they still with this team? And, if they have found other interests / careers - are we actively seeking for immediate, ready-to-contribute, sustainable replacements? CCL will really tax all of the resources of this team - we have to have thorough depth in the squad.
I enjoyed this episode of TWIG. It's great to see other athletes take notice to Landon:)
