The Galaxy U-20's moved one step closer to a berth in the Super-20 Semifinals on Friday with a 3-0 win over Triangle FC in Rockford, Ill. UCLA forward Evan Raynr scored twice for the Galaxy while Ruben Valencia added a third to give LA their second win in as many games at the Super-20 Finals.
The Galaxy, who are now unbeaten in their last 11 games, dating back to a season opening loss to Chivas USA, now sit atop Group C with six points, two more than second place Cincinnati Premier United, who are 1-0-1 after two games. Those two teams meet on Saturday morning in the Group C finale, with the Galaxy needing just a draw to clinch first place in the group and a spot in the semifinals.
The three group winners and the best second place team advance to the semifinals, which will be held on Saturday night ahead of Sunday's Super-20 Final.
