Two days after being delayed on the way to Manchester because of a broken rearview mirror, bus troubles struck again ahead of our trip to face Blackburn Rovers. This time the mirrors were fine, but they were deemed unnecessary when it was realized that the bus would not start.
That started a hectic series of calls to nearby bus companies and mechanics which, because of today's bank holiday in England, often did not yield positive results. But despite the grey clouds that hung overhead, there was a ray of hope and there was soon a bus on its way to take us to the ground.
Kickoff has been moved back almost two hours, but the first game of the trip is now squarely on the horizon.

What? Seriously? Bus Troubles? I hope this trip was not treated like a "National Lampoon's" comedy show. I'm hoping the drive, the details, and the sweat that these players put in did not go to waste! There is so much that these youngsters can take in and keep practicing and improving.
