Get Well David

The following statement is from LA Galaxy General Manager and Head Coach Bruce Arena regarding midfielder David Beckham, who injured his left Achilles' tendon during AC Milan's 1-0 win over Chievo Verona on Sunday at the San Siro in Milan, Italy. Beckham underwent surgery to repair the injury today in Finland.

“Injuries are an unfortunate part of our game and they are even more disappointing when they happen to a player who was so close to realizing his dream of representing his nation at this summer’s World Cup,” said Arena. “We will give David our complete support to make sure that he is able to get himself back to full health before he returns to the field. David remains an important player for the Galaxy and we look forward to welcoming him back to the club and assisting him in his recovery.”

Anyway...
Sucks for David, always terrible to see a player get injured and miss the World Cup.

The irony must be noted though...he attempted to screw the G's to work his way to AC Milan to stay "fit" so he could play in the World Cup...and if he stayed in LA he'd still be "fit" for the World Cup.

Whatever...least Landon is back home.

What a Major Bummer for David, The Galaxy, The Galaxy Fans, AC Milan, The English World Cup Team & everyone. I was SOoo looking forward to see Becks & Landon work some magic this year after the great turnaround they had last year. I am really disappointed with this Tragic News.

What a load of idiot jerks you Galaxy supporters are. This is devasting for the whole football world and you just think about your indignificant little ignorant selves. Love you Becks. England are going to win the world cup in your honour. Stay in Europe. Will miss your class very much here but these people are incapable of appreciating it. If the Galaxy had sent my season tickets I would tear them up. Don't want to be associated with wannabe haters. Go back to baseball.
