Todd Dunivant and Edson Buddle celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by reading "Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose" to a group of fifth graders at Eshelman Avenue Elementary School in Lomita, Ca.
Buddle and Dunivant, who also read "Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are?" and "The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins", were among millions across the country that participated in the 13th annual Read Across America Day, a national campaign created by the National Educators Association with the goal of encouraging children to read or be read to in the company of caring adults.
The players were not alone in their visit, Miss LA Galaxy Nicola, MLAG court members Alondra and Elizabeth and Galaxy front office staff were also on hand to promote the importance and joy of reading.
Buddle and Dunivant also presented Eshelman Avenue School Principal Milli Mladinich with books, pens, bookmarks and posters donated by the California Teachers Association.
Below are a few photos from today's visit. We will have a full photo gallery on LAGalaxy.com tomorrow morning. Be sure to check that out.
