With the Galaxy's season opener now just a few days away, the team looks to be getting closer and closer to full fitness. The injured trio of Alan Gordon, Jovan Kirovski and Clint Mathis were all out on the field this afternoon, taking part in training at The Home Depot Center.
While some of the guys who played 90 minutes on Sunday remained inside for a gym workout and recovery session, Alan, Jovan and Clint all made their way outside to get in some work with their teammates and the training staff. Alan and Jovan did some ball work and ran to maintain their fitness, Clint jumped into the small-sided game and made it through the entire session, his most extensive work since undergoing left knee surgery early last month.
All three players are listed as Questionable on the season's first official injury report.
For the opposition New Emgland Revolution, Edgaras Jankauskas, Matt Reis and Taylor Twellman are all listed as Out while Mauricio Castro is listed as Doubtful and Kevin Alston, Darrius Barnes and Shalrie Joseph are all Questionable.
Final injury reports must be submitted to the league on Friday.

Well, I know I've been asking for updates on these three players for a while now... So, appreciate this update that was posted. Yes, fitness is important on the field, in games, and against younger / quicker opponents... however, as this past Saturday pointed out - ball movement, quick touches, accuracy, and placement are also VERY, VERY IMPORTANT too!!! And, I'm really hoping that the coaches are sternly pushing these players and expecting results from 'em. There's no point in expectations if results aren't being met and consistent quality isn't being reached. And, since LD is back with the LA Galaxy - he has to impose his expectations on 'em as well. Players have to earn and constantly secure their starting places in the team.
Can't wait to see Mathis in action for the G's.
the sooner they back, the less we have to rely on streaky Buddle...
