Open Tryouts - Day One

On Saturday, the Galaxy held their 2010 Open Tryouts at The Home Depot Center. Despite a little wind and rain, the players did their best to impress the Galaxy Assessors on the field during their games on Day One of the annual event. Every participant played one (1) game in a 7 v. 7 format in the Round 1.
Here are a few facts about this year’s Open Tryouts…

There was a wide range of talent on display throughout the day with a number of high scoring games. It is all of these factors that will be go into the decisions of the LA Galaxy Assessors. The Galaxy Open Tryout Assessors are lead by a distinguished group of coaches and former players including…

Thanks guys, for keeping us updated on this... although it would have been nice to have larger (expandable) pics. Let's see how much it dwindle downs to tomorrow. If it continues to rain tonight into tomorrow - that field turf is going to be soggy and slick. The games are going to get even more chaotic/haphazard!

Hopefully we can find a striker out of this. I am not confident that Buddle, McGee, and Gordon can handle the scoring load.

Interesting list of assessors. Three D3 college coaches? Not surprised to see any of the names per se, because I played for one of them and know they're all very good coaches, but I'm a bit surprised that all three of them are there.

I guess the D1 college coaches are running their spring seasons now...
