Locals Ready for the Red Bulls

Tomorrow night against the Red Bulls, the Galaxy will likely take the field with four players who were raised in the shadows of Giants Stadium in the New York Metro area.

Gregg Berhalter, Edson Buddle, Alecko Eskandarian and Stefani Miglioranzi were all raised in either New York or New Jersey so we caught up with them after today's training to see what they think about coming home.

Take a look...

And for those who don't already know, Berhalter was raised in Tenafly, N.J., Buddle in New Rochelle, N.Y., Alecko in Montvale N.J. (and as a bonus, his father Andranik used to call Giants Stadium home, playing for the NASL's New York Cosmos) and Miglioranzi moved to Port Chester N.Y., from Brazil at the age of 12.

Guys,
Another great video! Love it. Wish it was at least another 2 minutes longer. But, nonetheless, it's appreciated. I really hope the guys are rested and in the state of mind they need to be in for this coming game. They cannot lose focus; the guys have to always be alert and keep track of their positions, runs, and holding onto the ball. That turf is not going to allow for too much passive ball-control; the guys are going to have to manage control in triangles and quadrangles.
For me, I'm not going to start spewing out bitterness, angst, and rage towards David and his place on this team. I know that from reading, watching, and studying other big-club teams in many parts of the world... "big-name, big-hype, big-star" players always are the catalyst and fuel for controversy and publicity. I chose not to get sucked into the chaos, drool, and lunacy. My deepest concern is for the strength, the integrity, the direction, and the leadership within the club, its staff, coaches, and players (ALL of them - not just one player). If the team gets better, more experienced, more opportunities to grow. Then, fine... the scandal/publicity/chaos/upset pride + hurt feelings served a purpose. What I do ask is... when David is here in the USA, playing & getting ready for MLS games... that his dedication and his efforts be for the LA Galaxy and its objectives.
I wish the guys fun, luck, and plenty of preparedness w/ the least amount of injuries. Do Well!

Can you update the fans on who got to travel to New York? Maybe post photos from them arriving at the airport.

Thanks
