Landon on the Scoresheet in Everton Win

Landon Donovan scored the first goal of his Everton career this afternoon, scoring with his left foot in from the center of the box in the Toffees 2-0 win over Sunderland at Goodison Park. Donovan played 76 minutes in the match before being replaced by Mikel Arteta.

Tim Cahill, who set up Donovan's goal in the 19th minute, scored the first for Everton in the 6th minute, stretching their unbeaten run in the league to seven games.

Nice. Glad to see Landon get on the score-board for Everton (and, moreover in EPL). It's fantastic to see the smart runs and coordinated attack the players make... and, the crosses from out-wide... just spot-on. Hope Landon gets to put in a lot more while playing for Everton.

Congrats Landon! You're making us proud as all Galaxy fans are also on loan until March 27th.

Landon looks like a descent player,he's got pace, can take people on and can score. I hope we (Everton)can get him on a permanent, talk of 2.5 Mil deal on the card, BARGAIN!!! Thanks to Tim Howard for recommending him to Moyes

Nice one Landon! Its good to see him settle in well in the Everton team. I think we will see many more american outfield players migrate to the EPL in the future (american keepers are already highly regarded here). Its good to see "soccer" in the US go from strength to strength....just hope you dont show too much quality against England in the world cup he he (actually, Im looking forward to seeing how well your defence does against Rooney, Lampard, etc).
ps. hope you get Clint Dempsey fit for the WC. Another dangerous US player

well in Donny i hope he signs for us (Everton), im very impressed with the speed hes settled in and he looks like a typical Everton player (hard working and a dogs of war mentality), ive got a season tkt an was there last night an i was gutted for him when his second chance was blocked of the line but the skill he showed in taking it round the keeper i know there will be more
