If you missed Part 1 of our look back at last week, click here.
If you didn't, you know that we're up to game day and after all the hype in the day's leading up to the game, it was a welcome sight to see crowd's like these waiting for the stadium gates to open at 6 p.m.
And, with most having heeded all the warnings about traffic and the push for everyone to arrive early, the fans kept coming, filling up every corner of the stadium.
Including more than a few Argentines as pictured above, who came out to see one of their nation's heroes, Lionel Messi.
Speaking of Messi, he played a major role in helping his club win this...this...
and this...
last season.
For those of you not sitting on the bench side of the field, these three beauties, the Champions League, Copa del Rey and La Liga trophies, were on display between the two benches all night long.
Quick trivia...which Galaxy players have lifted one of those pieces of silverware?
As for the game, Pedrito gave the visitors an early lead, slamming a shot through a sea of Galaxy defenders in the 11th minute before the Galaxy equalized just before halftime with this...in case you had forgotten.
The game remained 1-1 until Sergio Busquets played Jeffren Suarez in behind the LA defense and he slid a shot underneath Josh Saunders to give Barca a 2-1 win.
But words just don't do a game of that magnitude justice, so watch all the highlights here. Or, if that's not enough for you, click here to watch the whole game once again.
Well after the game had ended, the players had addressed the media, the media filed their stories and the crowds had long since gone home, the blog staff finally exited "the grand-daddy of them all" in the wee hours of Sunday morning, already thinking about a night, and a week, that we'll never forget.
Let's just hope that someone remembered to turn out the lights.

ANSWER: Champions League trophy jOVAN Kirovski with Borossia Dortmund.
thanks for the injury update.
You guys are worthless
I just finished watching the 4-0 win from Barcelona against Seattle Sounders. It was another great game by Barca and they again demonstrated their superior passing.
Over this last week I watched the Galaxy/Barcelona game again, and saw how their players controlled the ball with their ground passing. I had not really appreciated it, when I attended the game.
But as a high five to the Seattle Sounders, I have to say that their fans put the Galaxy fans to shame. Their support for their team is so admirable and I want Galaxy fans to take a lesson. We should support our team, THE WHOLE TEAM, all the time.
Thank you for this great update of the great friendly for this year!
Wow..so Seattle lost 4-0 to Barcelona and WE managed to hold 2-1 against them?! Wow..just..wow! Of course..I don't think we are THAT great yet, as far as MLS goes, but that IS a very good news! At least it will give the players some more confidence and hopefully will give a reminder to the fans to support their team more.
And I agree..for the better or for worse..the fans SHOULD support Galaxy IN EVERY CONDITION they are in..just like Seattle! If not..LA and perhaps other MLS teams have a very long way to go to become as passionate to football as other countries, and to attract new fans to the game. Be like Seattle..show your passion to the game, to your TEAM, for every game!
Arena: Thanks for playing the 3 worst players in MLS all at the same time!
Kirovski, Miglioranzi, and Lewis should retire
Can you make the pictures expandable please?

Who the hell do you think you are? We a shame, screw you. If you really feel bad about yourself then do something about it. Did you also see their fans leaving before the game was over, LA fans have never done that. Piss off to seattle.
As I wrote before, Beckham is great because he can change the game with his passes and freekicks. Also, the rookies and the rest of the defense showed what it take for a team to be able to win because Barca was dominating the possession.
