With the final repairs being put on University Field #1, their standard training field, the Galaxy trained on the stadium field at The Home Depot Center this morning. This was the first time all season that the guys had practiced inside the stadium, but it did not change the intensity or speed of the session as the guys remain focused on Saturday's game. With Chivas USA in action tonight at Real Salt Lake, Bruce put the team though a series of short field possession games that were designed to get guys as many touches as possible in small spaces.
While that was going on on the field, Edson, Sean and Jules were all running along the endline, going through an extensive, hour-long workout that is part of their continued rehab. All three guys have had foot or leg injuries so they are just now starting to be able to get their fitness work up to where it needs to be in order to return to the field.
After the session, some of the guys worked did some additional fitness work on their own...while most of the guys joined Dave for some finishing drills, much to the delight of a group of Herbalife distributors who were in attendance and were sitting on the field behind the goal. After not training inside the stadium all season long, the full team will be back inside there tomorrow morning, but not for training. Instead, the club will take the official team photo before training. We'll have some background shots from that and more tomorrow as we move one step closer to the SuperClasico.

we want a free big team photo please!
and some updates on the official site with wallpapers etc would't be a bad thing either.
YEAAHHH! Sean, Julian, and Edson are finally able to do regular team field fitness. Good, that's promising. What about Alecko? Did he train today with the guys? I'm hoping all of us will see a strong, full 90-minute effort, and convincing showing from our LA Galaxy guys over the goats.
An excerpt from an article published in LA Galaxy web-page with MLSnet.com, from Vice-Captain Eddie Lewis:
"Ultimately you're judged by wins and losses," Lewis said, referring to the Galaxy's 8-4-11 record. A year ago at this point of the season they were 6-9-8 and deep into their historic winless streak. "Certainly he's stuck exactly to his words and will continue to do so to build the squad during the offseason.
Week to week we're getting better and better. We're more organized, and certainly the defense is better. But really the important part of the season is in front of us. He'll (Head Coach Bruce) be the first to admit so far, so good, but we've got to keep going."
That's what I'd like to hear from a leader and a central figure on the team. Thanks, Eddie - I cannot over-emphasize how much I value honesty!
When is buddle coming back?! we need him!
