Doesn't anyone else's opinion matter on this team? These guys keep repeating the same $&!^ over and over. Give us other's take on the game. It may be refreshing even for you.
A bit disappointed in Landon's comments. He usually is more honest and proclaiming they were in "control" was not true at all.
Becks was great, is great will always be great. The problem he has with the Galaxy is that he has to anticipate Landon and co. not anticipating.
Meg, we all realize your love for David, but he cannot win or lose a game all by himself, and although he had some good shots, he was not 150% percent, like he can be. All our team members should have played a little harder.
I'm more with one of the Anonymous commentors above. I don't really get what Landon was referring to when he had said "We thought we had better control...". Of the complete game as an entirety? May be. DC United team played with a lot more pace and urgency in many stretches of the match; plus, they also seemed to handle the extra humidity and rain a lot better. I mean I know they're trying to keep their comments all in agreement and trying to generate the impression that the game they played with the players they fielded came out good. But, to me, LA Galaxy players did not seem to keep the ball in longer stretches, and be able to hold on more than the 3rd/4th pass because of the rain, sogginess, and travel. If I'm not mistaken, the LA Galaxy so far have had an impressive AWAY game record this season; but, not so for their HOME games' record, right? There are 5 HOME games left for LA Galaxy; and, our two biggest Western competitors are going to / or already in the mode of gaining ground on us. Well, Bruce & Dave - some things are going to have to get better and improve if the games are going to go according to what Captain Landon is envisioning thus far.
"Becks was great, is great will always be great."
Spoken like a true football fan - the pointy kind. You and Nicole deserve each other with these kinds of stupid over-statements.
"The problem he has with the Galaxy is that he has to anticipate Landon and co. not anticipating."
Wow, that's really profound. Wouldn't you think a "great" player would have figure that out by now.
Hi Charles, getting a little verbose again aren't you? Don't forget the meds. By the way, watch your grammar, also.

"Wow, that's really profound. Wouldn't you think a "great" player would have figure that out by now.” (By the way figure should be figured)
He is just great, sexy and hot, not God (nearly, but this is America so that cannot be said: remember Lennon!) Your remark is the dumbest I have ever seen on this board and that is a huge accomplishment given the competition.
Going with your premise: Example: Beckham has the ball on the wing, Landy has an open run to goal, he sits down and prays. Yes, Becks is probably anticipating that, so by your logic he just kicks a Hail Mary to be in sync.
Meg, true that... I was getting verbose. My fingers pined for more typing; hence I had to turn my swivel chair and get myself up and walk away. I did not proofread that said comment/post. Thanks for "gracing" all of us with your 'tude and passion. I appreciate it.
Still can't resist taking a few punches on Landon, I see. Ahhh, you & Nicole - really - both of you certainly bring yang to some of our ying (or is it the other way around?). Rock on, ladies!
well MEG, here is a cleaner version of my response to your response of my original response of your earlier comments here - follow?
calling you a beer guzzler with an eight year old's menatl capacity who cannot see the contradiction of your own statements did not make it passed the tight scrutiny here.
so I'm reduced to c27 level of communication by hoping that coaches Bruce, Dave, Cobi work the players very hard this week to anticipate Dave's only problem as a great player of not anticipating their not anticipation. This could be accomplished very easily by everyone standing around on various parts of the field and frantically waving their arms up in the air while shouting here David, here lad, I'm open. 15 minutes of this drill before and after each shooting drill will sufice.
