Let There Be Grass

Full plaudits to the HDC grounds crew and everyone else that has helped to get the new playing surface down and ready to go for Saturday's game.

The maintenance and grooming of the field has already begun and will continue all the way up until gametime on Saturday, ensuring that the field is in optimal condition for the game against Seattle and straight through to the end of the season.

Thanks for the pics showing us how the pitch looks after the new sod have been laid down. Again, I do hope it is indeed set down in optimal condition as this blog states. The proof will be in the unfolding of events on Saturday. Can't wait. Hope the team's practices and sessions are going well. Any updates on Alecko / Edson / Sean???

It's pathetic that it took from Aug 2nd until Aug 13th to actually lay grass.

The HDC is a joke. Optimal condition after 48 hours? I think not.

In other news, Landon has swine flu.

Hey Joe, why don't you go out and remove thousands of tons of dirt and lay down all new sod?

You're a joke.

This happens every year. Not once, has this pitch been in good condition for at least a month afterward.
