Beckham Ready For Return

After months of intense rehab to recover from a torn left Achilles tendon, David Beckham finally can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The midfielder has his sights set on a return to the pitch against the Columbus Crew on September 11 at The Home Depot Center.

Click here to see what David had to say about getting back on the field and his hopes for the rest of the season.

David also sat down to speak with Jackie Pickering and you can see that interview this Saturday during the Galaxy Live pregame show on Prime Ticket starting at 12:30 pm.

Well David... At this point in the season, I really don't know what to truly expect from you and how much you can offer. If you are indeed a true LAG player and knows what it takes to press, to battle, to give it as much as possible whenever possible when playing in actual competition... then, please, whole-heartedly come back and show us all the vision, the smartness and cleverness you have moving the ball, holding the ball, and feeding the ball. At this point, our team needs to starting scoring and making faster through plays; if our team can get more and more of that into opponents third AND FINISH those opportunities by actually shooting and scoring - then, mission accomplished.

Many times that I watch Galaxy games & other MLS Matches where the players r open & about 10 to 30yards out & open, & they don't shoot / kick the ball to the goal. They pass the ball. I guess it looks easy when your not playing. However if one shoots, when they r open then they have the possibilities of getting rebounds, deflections & or blunders by the goalkeeper. They should & Need to shoot more!
