González Receives National Team Call-up

LA Galaxy defender Omar González has been called in to the U.S. National Team for their annual January camp that will be held at The Home Depot Center. González is one of 30 players called into the camp by U.S. National Team head coach Bob Bradley. A veteran of the U.S. Under-17 and Under-20 National Teams, this is the first time that González has been called into the full National Team.

The camp will begin on Monday, January 4 and run through the friendly against Honduras on Saturday, January 23 at The Home Depot Center.

That's awesome :) I had mentioned his name when talking about possible call-ups with a friend, but I didn't think it was likely...so I'm happy to be wrong! Congrats to Omar! USMNT could definitely use a steady and towering center back :)

Congrats to Omar for that chance and distinction. Hope he gets plenty of training in camp. Moreover, he does very well in camp and in the friendly coming up, if he plays in it.

I was thinking about him being called up to the USMNT camp, it's about time, we need him with Gooch being injured. Contrats Omar!
